Leadership Team
The executive management team of Service America possesses a wealth of experience serving the needs of homeowners from a variety of related industries including the home services industry, property management, plumbing and HVAC systems. Each executive team member understands that ultimately ours is a business based on relationships. Fostering positive relationships with our customers begins by understanding their needs and striving to meet those needs day in and day out. In a service industry, the only way to succeed is by delivering outstanding customer service. This is what truly sets Service America apart from its competitors.
Steven Christensen
President & CEOSteve joined The Continental Group, the largest property management company in Florida, and also part of the FirstService Residential Management portfolio, in 1991 and held various positions of increased responsibility throughout his tenure. Initially hired as Controller, he was then quickly promoted to CFO. Continental’s parent company then tapped Steve as CFO for their entire US residential management operations. A strong financial background, coupled with his overall business operational acumen, made him a natural selection as the CEO of Service America. With more than 30 years in the service industry, Steve has the experience and proper perspective to manage relationships with our clients and employees.
Al Soto
COOAl joined Service America in 2009 as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Service America, he spent 18 years in the property management division of the Continental Group (part of the portfolio First Service Residential Management) where he served as Executive Vice President and a member of the executive management team. He was promoted to President of the Property Services Division in 2000 and was responsible for all service company operations throughout Florida. In Al’s current role as COO, he oversees all Service America operations in Florida.
Vivian Psinakis, CPA
CFOIn her role as CFO of Service America, Vivian is responsible for the financial leadership of the Company which includes financial reporting, budgeting, risk management, compliance and information systems. Prior to joining Service America in 1995, Vivian spent 18 years in banking and held increasing responsible positions from Corporate Controller to Vice President of Lending and Credit Administration. Vivian holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida International University and has her CPA designation.
Jim Gallo
Vice President MarketingJim is responsible for leading all Marketing & Sales initiatives. Since joining Service America in 1998, he has held a variety of senior management positions including Human Resources, Operations & Marketing. In 2004 Jim assumed his current position as Vice President of Marketing. Jim’s unique expertise combines strong creative skills and a keen understanding of marketing statistics and trends.
Prior to joining Service America, Jim’s background includes experience in industries including Health Care, Entertainment, and Education. A native Floridian, Jim has an MBA and a Masters from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelors degree from the University of Central Florida.
Nancy Donegan
Vice President of OperationsNancy began her career in the service contract industry in 1980 when she served as a customer service representative for Sam and Bea Amira Services, one of the first companies in South Florida to provide service contracts to condominiums and single family homes. With nearly thirty years of industry experience, Nancy has expertise in all facets of appliance, AC and plumbing services. In her capacity as VP Operations, Nancy is responsible for all technicians’ services, including purchasing, parts, distribution and fleet. Nancy’s motto is "treat the customer as you or a member of your family would want to be treated"
Richard Levinson
President of Mechanical DivisionRick is responsible for all commercial air conditioning and plumbing services. During his career he has worked his way from a field technician all the way up to his current leadership role.
Prior to Joining Service America, Rick was the President of City Wide A/C service. He was educated locally and has an Associates degree in Science. Rick has over 32 years of HVAC Trade experience and holds class "A" license, which is the highest designation issued by the State of Florida.
Allen Steinman
Sr. Vice President Plumbing ServicesAllen is responsible for all residential and commercial plumbing services. He has been in the plumbing industry for over 30 years, 24 years of which have been in a senior role, including President of Silver Plumbing from 1994 to 2008. In 1995 Allen became a state certified plumbing contractor. In 2008 he attained the LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) accredited professional designation from the US Green Building Council (USGBC) specializing in sustainability and green methods of construction and facility maintenance. Allen was named Sr. Vice President of the newly formed Mechanical Division of Service America in January 2009 when Silver Plumbing was merged into Service America.
Allen’s extensive knowledge and expertise in the plumbing industry is exceptional with no job too big or small. From a re-pipe of a 40 story condo to a small kitchen faucet installation, Allen is the man with a plan.
